Bristol city offers public and private fitness and sports facilities to its people.

Bristol City and Bristol Rovers are two football league clubs formed in early 1800s and have performed well since then. Other then these two there are a few non-league clubs as well.

Among other colleges, Filton College in Bristol claims to provide a bridge between sports and studies and aims at providing a platform for the students to study and pursue their interest in sports simultaneously. The students choose a suitable course and receive professional sports training of up to 16 hours per week.
