Welsh Back Health Club
Welsh Back is the oldest harbor-facing health club that was established in Bristol in 1985. The club initiated as a squash club but now it offers facilities like yoga & fitness classes, gymnasium, massages, mini cafe and also offers special catering service (which includes drinks and buffet dinner/lunch) on request for a private party of about 150 people.
Welsh Back offers 5 glassed squash courts so it would be seldom that a member finds all courts occupied at a single time.
The fitness classes are scheduled according to the demand of members that include aerobics, abs exercises, legs, circuits, yoga, Pilates etc. A preliminary workshop on Pilates is also arranged every month for guiding those who are new so that maximum benefits can be reaped once the session starts.
Massages offered include abdominal, deep tissue, head massage, holistic massage and sports massage. These massages help relax tenses muscles, remove muscular pains and remove stress. However, abdominal massage and deep tissue Detox massage tends to improve digestive system and drain fluids from soft tissues.
The Welsh Back Club has 4 large gyms and facilitates its members with services of a qualified team that assists individuals in achieving their goals. The gyms face the harbor water providing a soothing atmosphere while exercising. The mini café offers drinks and food and is a good spot to grab a drink after working out in a gym.
Welsh Back Club is owned by its members and all the membership fees and any surpluses are spent on improving the club and does not aims at making a profit.
Welsh Back Squash and Health Club offer various membership packages aiming from students to business class accepting fees on monthly basis or annually, whatever suits the people. The membership rates vary from monthly £25 to £80, depending on the package, and offers a concession if a member decides to may annually instead of paying every month.
